Based in Southern California, I’ve spent the past decade capturing over 150 weddings, each with its own unique story. My approach is rooted in authenticity, focusing on candid moments and genuine emotions to create films that truly reflect the essence of your day.
From the quiet anticipation before the ceremony to the joyous celebrations under the stars, I aim to document the real, unscripted magic as it unfolds. Whether it's the subtle glances, heartfelt vows, or spontaneous dance moves, every detail contributes to a narrative that’s uniquely yours.
Utilizing both digital and Super 8 formats, I craft cinematic films that not only recount events but evoke the feelings and atmosphere of your wedding day. My goal is to create a timeless keepsake that allows you to relive those cherished moments for years to come.
Beyond weddings, my passion for storytelling extends to various forms of visual media, always with a focus on capturing genuine human connections. When I’m not behind the camera, I enjoy exploring the outdoors, traveling, and seeking inspiration in everyday moments.

Hey, I’m Michael — the filmmaker behind MJP Cinema.
When I’m not capturing weddings, I’m living life with my favorite people — my wife Alissa, our two amazing kiddos Kai and Shay, our big ol’ Bernedoodle Buster, and our two little bunnies, Patches + Penelope. Our life is loud, beautiful, and full of little moments that mean everything — the same kind I love to capture on film.
I’m based in Southern California, but you’ll often find us on weekend trips to Palm Springs, Beach walks and VG’s donuts, at our favorite coffee shop. I have a huge love for music. It’s a huge part of my creative process — it sets the tone, carries the emotion, and helps shape the heartbeat of every film I create.
At the core of what I do is connection. I’m not here to direct your day — I’m here to document it as it naturally unfolds, with all the raw, beautiful, imperfect magic that makes it yours.
